Welcome to the Minburn Community Betterment Group website.
Minburn, A Small Town with a Big Heart, is ready for the 4th of July, which begins with a Life Flight, fun stuff, the Dallas County Pork Producers and MidLife Crisis on July 3. The parade, pie contests, games, great food and fireworks happen on Saturday, July 4 - Independence Day. See the Fourth of July page for a full schedule.
The skating rink is open on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, with Steffen Heins serenading the skaters on Thursdays. It's a great way to relax on a summer evening.
"Meet Me in Minburn" concerts happen on the third Saturdays in June, July and September. Pumptown opened the season with drum-infused country, and The Henhouse Prowlers show up on July 18. See the events page for the details. We thank area businesses and the Bock Family Foundation for their support of community events and local entertainment this year.
The Minburn Community Betterment Group continues work on the historic Minburn Depot and creating a trail head for the Raccoon River Bike Trail expansion. See "Our Community" area for meeting times.
You'll find us on the western edge of Dallas County. A grain elevator, church, two veterinarians, an elementary school, library, bank make up the town, with a wonderful nature preserve just west onn F31. You can get a free cup of coffee at the bank, the big brick church on Chestnut Street, Heartland Coop, or at the library.
Wishing you a safe and happy summer.
Thank you,
MCBG
